UCS kehittämisrahoituksen haku vuodelle 2026 on auki

Seinäjoen yliopistokeskuksen kehittämisrahoitus vuodelle 2026 on haettavissa 24.9-21.10.2025. 

Rahoitusta voivat hakea Seinäjoen yliopistokeskuksessa työskentelevät henkilöt, joiden toimipiste on Seinäjoella tai Etelä-Pohjanmaalla. Raha myönnetään aina yliopistolle, se ei ole henkilökohtaista apurahaa.  Rahoitettavien toimenpiteiden tulee vähintäänkin alkaa vuoden 2026 aikana. Rahoitettavat toimenpiteet voivat kohdentua useammalle vuodelle. Mikäli toimenpide ei käynnisty vuoden 2026 aikana, myönnetty rahoitus ei ole suoraan siirrettävissä vuodelle 2027.  

Vuodelle 2026 Seinäjoen yliopistokeskuksen kehittämismäärärahoista voi hakea rahoitusta    

1. Uudenlaista toimintaa edistäviin tutkimus-, kehittämis- ja koulutushankkeiden valmisteluun ja toteutukseen.    

2. Eri tieteenalojen ja yliopistojen yhteistyön edistämiseen.    

3.  Kansainvälisten hankkeiden valmisteluun sekä kansainvälistymistä edistäviin toimenpiteisiin.

Haettavan rahoituksen edellytetään toteuttavan jotakin Seinäjoen yliopistokeskuksen vuodelle 2026 valituista strategisista tavoitteista ja tavoitteiden painopisteistä:   

Tavoite 1. Lisäämme vetovoimaista yliopistokoulutusta.   
Painopiste 1.1. Luomme puitteet koulutuksen pitkäjänteiselle kehittämiselle.    
 
Tavoite 2. Kasvatamme kansainvälistä TKI-toimintaa ja rahoitusta.    
Painopiste 2.2. Luomme vuorovaikutuksen malleja, joilla vahvistetaan yhteistyötä strategisen kumppaneiden kanssa. 

Tavoite 3. Laajennamme ja syvennämme vuorovaikutusverkostoja.   
Painopiste 3.1 Edistämme korkeakouluyhteisössä tunnistettujen innovaatioekosysteemien toimintatapojen laajenemista.    

Tavoite 4. Rakennamme uutta luovaa korkeakouluyhteisöä.   
Painopiste 4.1. Edistämme monitieteellisen työn sekä tieteen ja taiteen uutta luovaa vuorovaikutusta.   
 
Vuoden 2026 kehittämisrahoitushaussa arvostetaan erityisesti monialaista yhteistyötä ja yliopistojen välistä yhteistyötä. 
 
Seinäjoen yliopistokeskuksen kehittämismäärärahalla voidaan kattaa hakijan EU/OKM/Sitra/tmv -hankkeen omarahoitusosuutta, kuitenkin niin, että yliopistokeskuksen rahoituksen osuus voi olla maksimissaan 5–10 % hankkeen kokonaisrahoituksesta tai maksimissaan puolet hankkeen omarahoitusosuudesta. Esimerkiksi: Hakija, jonka EAKR-hanke on 100 000 euron kokonaisbudjetilla ja 20 % omarahoitusosuudella, voi hakea UCS kehittämistukea hankkeelleen maksimissaan 10 000 €.    
 
Tässä haussa ei rahoiteta pieniä kansainvälistymistä edistäviä matkatukihakemuksia (500–1000 €/kpl). Pieniä matkatukihakemuksia voi edelleen hakea ja hakemukset jätetään UCS johtoryhmän kokouksen käsiteltäväksi. Johtoryhmä kokoontuu noin kerran kuussa. 

Haku on avoinna 24.9.–21.10.2025 Hakemukset käsitellään johtoryhmän kokouksessa 27.10.2025 ja 21.11.2025.  Päätökset rahoitettavasta kokonaisuudesta tekee johtoryhmän esityksestä rehtorien kokous joulukuussa 2025.

University Consortium of Seinäjoki’s development funds for 2026 are open for application from 24 September to 21 October 2025   

  
The funding is available for people working at the University Consortium of Seinäjoki (in Seinäjoki or in South Ostrobothnia region). The funding is not a personal grant; it is granted for the applicant’s university. The operations and projects funded by the UCS development funds 2026, must at least begin during the year 2026. The projects and operations funded can be multiannual. Please notice that in case your project/operations are delayed from launching in 2026, the funds are not directly accessible in 2027. 

The following types of funding can be applied for from the development funds of the University Consortium of Seinäjoki (UCS)   

1. Development and implementation of research, development and education projects that promote new types if activities   

2. Promoting cooperation between different disciplines and universities   

3. Preparing international projects and activities that promote internationalisation. UCS does not fund conference trips from this open call.  

The funding applied for is required to fulfil one of the strategic goals and focus areas selected by the University Consortium of Seinäjoki for 2026: 

Goal 1. We increase attractive university education.  

Priority 1.1 We create a framework for the long-term development of education.   

  • We create a framework for the long-term development of education. 
  • We create an agreement template for the trainings we offer.  
  • We systematically promote the implementation of the UCS’s education map.  
  • We increase interesting opportunities for continuous learning, e.g., by offering multidisciplinary and/or artistic micro credentials. 

  
Goal 2. We will increase international RDI activities and funding.   

Priority 2.2 We create models of interaction to strengthen cooperation with strategic partners. 

  • We expand the discussion on the possibilities for using the results of conducted research projects and future work. 
  • We develop the Visiting scholar’s system as an operation method of the whole university consortium. 

 
Goal 3. We expand and deepen interaction networks.  

Priority 3.1 We promote the expansion of the operating modes of innovation ecosystems that have been identified in the higher education community.     

  • We promote the expansion of the operating methods of innovation ecosystems identified in the higher education community. 
  • We will continue our goal-oriented and systematic expansion of RDI cooperation with the main campuses. 
  • We will promote the creation of common development platforms for innovative work. 

  
Goal 4. We are building a new, creative higher education community.  

Priority 4. 1 We promote multidisciplinary work and the innovative interaction between science and art.  

  • We promote multidisciplinary work and innovative interaction between science and art. 
  • We promote interactive and innovative ways of working. 
  • We intensify cooperation with the research to business expert services on the main campuses. 

  
In the 2026 application round for development funding, multidisciplinary cooperation and cooperation between universities are particularly valued. 
 
The development funding of the University Consortium of Seinäjoki can be used to cover the applicant’s self-financing share of the EU/OKM/Sitra/or other such project, however, so that the share of the University Consortium’s funding may be a maximum of 5–10% of the project’s total funding or a maximum of half of the project’s self-financing share. For example, an applicant whose ERDF project has a total budget of 100,000 euros and a 20% self-financing share can apply for UCS development support for their project up to a maximum of 10,000 €. 
  
The present call for applications does not fund conference trips. However, applicants may apply for funding for the conference from UCS board that meets regularly about once a month.  

The call for applications begins on 24th September and closes October 21st (23:59). The applications will be processed at a UCS Board meeting on October 27th, and November 21st, 2025. The Rectors’ meeting will decide on the funded projects based on the UCS Board’s proposal in December 2025.
