WHAT IS THE RESEARCH RESIDENCE?
Research Residence is a UCS service designed for all researchers, regardless of their university affiliation. International scholars are also welcome. Research here covers Master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, post-doctoral projects, and research plans, articles and funding proposals. Research Residence supports the research process by providing a functional working space and an inspiring community.
For a monthly pay of 60 euros, a researcher at the Residence is granted a desk in an office with one to four colleagues. The pay includes the rent, electricity, internet connection, a fair amount of printing copies, as well as regular cleaning up.
UCS also provides the researchers with various channels for presenting their work depending on the stage of the research process. Thus, as a researcher, you receive support from UCS and the member universities. You are also welcome to participate in a open seminar that meets regularly to discuss topical issues regarding residence researchers’ work. UCS, the university units, the Summer School and University of Applied Sciences also give open lectures.
