The University Consertium of Seinäjoki is one of the six university consortia in Finland. University consortia bring together several universities and offer academic research and education services outside main campuses, ensuring the availability of high quality university services throughout Finland. University consortia are networked organisations that connect the regional activities of universities, conduct advanced academic research, and apply research results in practice. The profile of each university consortium reflects the characteristics and needs of the surrounding region and society, as well as the strengths and the profiles of the constituent universities.

University consortia support companies and communities in research and development activities, and organize university courses specifically targeted at adults.
